Advice on CLASS?

SCUBA divers are a lot of fun, but not a lot of class.

Happy bubbles!

You should enjoy it.

My advise is pay attention and stay in physical shape

What RoatanMan said. Most of the divers who I have run across are just average souls looking for a good time. You don't need class to be a diver. Pay attention to the instructor, learn the routines and after you get your C-card go diving with (rent) a DM or instructor for a few days diving in the ocean and you should be all set. Worked for me.

thanks guys for all your input. I have been lurking around here for awhile picking up bits and pieces of information. I think its a great source for all kinds of info. thanks again.

well, we finished the class and poolwork this past weekend. we are going to Athens Scuba Park this coming weekend to do the checkout dives. what are some cool things to see after the checkout dives are finished. the instructor has encouraged us to do another fun dive after class is over. which i'm sure will be helpful since he will be sticking around with us just to be there for a fun dive

Do the extra dive.... I jump at every chance for a dive possible, and have never been in the wrong because of it!

I was at Athens last weekend and was not impressed, but be sure to check out the Dart bus, plane, and the largest boat. If you can go checkout CSSP sometime, it's a much better dive park.

Yes, definitely do the fun dive!
There isn't much to see there but, the C-140 is pretty cool :)
