Hello from the NW suburbs! Check out Dive Right in Scuba in Plainfield. Well worth the drive. Not that far at all.

Haigh Quarry in Kankakee is our local go to dive spot. Got 2 dives in today. Water temp was 54 at 24 ft. Last Sunday it was 45 at 43 ft. There's Lake Michigan, too! I'll be doing Lake Huron later in the summer.

Embrace cold water diving and as a Midwesterner, you'll dive a lot more. It's not that bad at all!
 
I last dove in the early 80's, except for once in Dominican Republic in the early 90's. Getting back into it now and decided to redo the certification rather than take the refresher.

Glad I did. Lots has changed in gear and from a safety perspective. I also found that most of my skills weren't just rusty, but rusted shut!

I'm in Key Largo now and have done 4 open water dives with two more tomorrow.

I'm hooked again!
