Mods/Admins,,sorry I was unaware this forum existed when I posted under general diving. I am old and it takes time to learn new things, excuse me.

Anyway, I am off to Utila in April and have made arrangements for my travel to get there. Flying Delta from New Orleans to Atlanta to San Pedro Sula. Getting there in time to catch the 2 p.m. flight to La Cieba and then the 4 p.m. ferry to Utila.
But, what about coming back? My flight leaves San Pedro Sula at 1:30 p.m. Does anyone know what time the ferry from Utila to La Cieba leaves? And what time the flight from La Cieba to San Pedro Sula is?
If I have to arrive in San Pedro a day early, any recommendations on a place to stay for the night? Clean, cheap and safe would be nice.
Thank you all.

What day are you flying back from Utila. If Sosa or Atlantic are flying, you can make it easy from Utila to SPS. Leave UTI at 6 (ish, everying is ish) and connect through Ceiba (should be in SPS by 10:30-11 ish). If you take the ferry, again leaving at 6 (ish) you should still be able to make SPS well before your 1:30 flight.

Just out of curiosity, if your flying from SAP to LaCeiba, why not just fly to Utila? The difference in price is minimal and the trip is much easier than an hour boat ride. the ferry leaves Utila early in the morning. I'm thinking 7:30 but not sure exactly.
If this is your first time flying to Honduras remember that you are going to be on Honduran time. Nothing is exact. All times are estimates with pretty big windows. When you get to SAP and ask when the flight to Ceiba is, regardless of what time of day it is, they will tell you it leaves at 2. Even if it is 3:30 already, they will tell you that it leaves at 2! Lol! Just go with the flow and don't get upset. But unless there is a reason that you want to ride the ferry, I would really suggest flying all the way through.

The connecting flight from La Ceiba to Utila only goes on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The flight from Utila to La Ceiba, then on to SPS, leaves Utila Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Warm regards,
Andy

The Princess leaves Utila at 6:30am & 2pm and get's into LCE about an hour later (weather dependent of course). As long as it leaves on time, you can catch the LCE/SAP flight.
