Excite Students with Marine Technology

Are you interested in learning about Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) technology and its application in ocean and Great Lakes studies? Want to learn how to build a ROV with students? Interested in putting together a student team to participate in a Great Lakes regional ROV competition? April 19th, 2008 - Third Annual Great Lakes Regional MATE Underwater Robot (ROV) Building Competition.

2007 Great Lakes Regional of the MATE ROV Building Competition

Read about student teams who participated in the Great Lakes Regional for the MATE ROV Competition in April 2007. 11 Teams from around the state of Michigan competed for a chance to go to the International ROV Building Competition sponsored by the Marine Advanced Technology Education Center. This year’s competition is held in St. John’s Newfoundland.)
