I'm a Fish!
Two of my buddies and I took our kayaks up to Gerstle cove yesterday and did 2 dives and spearfished.
It was a great day up there, the water was flat and practically no wind.
The water was a little murkey on the surface but as we got deeper in cleared out to about 20 foot vis in some spots.
I got a nice size ling on the first dive and two vermillions between the 2 dives. Both Steve and Tommie got fish also (both of these guys will be at the party). Steve got a humungus lingcod that was 42 inches and 25 pounds.
I wish I would have taken digitals of the day but I didn't have my camera with me.
I hope the water stays good like that for the party.
There is some really great diving around where we were.
We went way out of the cove - south for the first dive and north for the second dive. If I had a third tank I would have dove it.
We got onto that whole cave and cavern system off the northern point that I talked about.
I found another tunnel that was very similar to a lava tube and it went way in. I could see light way at the back end but I didn't go in. I doubt I could find it again because we were cruising and this area is like a labyrinth.

This area is very close to Ocean Cove and is on the "dive list" for the party.
