Jamdiver:
So how did the show go last night?
I wasn't able to see it, was he as sensationalist as predicted??

Read back - I put up a couple of his better quotes...

D.

It was basically a puff piece for the makers of "Shark Shield" some sort of electromagnetic anti-shark device. Lotsa scary shark rhetoric, followed by "how to keep your family safe this summer"

I guess someone should mention to Geraldo that you have a greater chance of being killed by a freaking VENDING MACHINE than being eaten by a shark.

Oh, and by Geraldo being a former decent reporter - I thought he did some good stuff back when he was on 20/20.. although nothing specific comes to mind...

My favorite Geraldo piece was when he was reporting from Afganistan, early in the war. Standing on the top of a hill at a military outpost talking about how there were insurgents all around them. Suddenly the mic boom pics op the sounds of rifle rounds coming AT GERALDO! It's a unique sound if you;ve never heard it, but big G was being shot at. He kissed the rocks and scrambled back into a hole like a rat. Some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen on TV!

FD

My favorite was when he was "entrenched" (is that the right word?) with a unit on a classified mission, and he bent down and drew a map in the sand, showing their current location. Coincidently, I think that was right before he left Iraq.
The man is a genius.

Embedded -

Yeah, he's a genius.. "Here I am with the 3rd Infantry.. approximately 4 miles west of this town and this river here... actually we're right next to this hill.."

The military prompty packed up his sh!t and got him on the next plane out. Idiot.

It would have been better for the nation, and the human gene pool in general, if they had fragged him after that one.

The "Mystery of Al Capones Vault" is a gripping journalistic endeavor
