Hi Folks,

I purchased a Genesis analog pressure gauge assembly set with my Sherwood regulator not too long ago. The middle gauge (pressure) came with a tiny bubble, the seller told me that it was not unusual, so I just took it. After only 1 dive, the bubble had expanded 5-10x in size. I brought it back & they swapped it out w/ a bubble-less one. Now, 1 dive later, this new Genesis pressure gauge has mysteriously developed a new bubble! I brought it back to the shop again and another clerk showed me 4 brand new Genesis pressure gauges (all in wraps, not defective or returned merchandise) - all with relatively large bubbles present! He told me that they are all like that. Is this some kinda engineering flaw? Is there a recall? I feel bad for my local dive shop if I make them keep swapping gauges for me. At the same time, having a gauge w/ bubble inside can be distracting underwater.

What do you suggest me do?

Edward

I assume you're talking about the depth gauge?

Does it look like that?
Right, the depth gauge that is. Genesis replied me and they suggested my local dive shop to swap it out w/ a 200' air-filled depth gauge to replace this problematic 150' oil-filled one. Apparently, this is a known problem. They are very nice & professional in resolving this for me.
