The last time, I was down there, all of the tanks were Yoke, not Pro-Valves.

Nice. There go $100 for two adapters I probably won't use anywhere else.

Thanks. It would've been worse to discover that, being already there.

Also tank baggers, pokers, or stainless steel rods. I have a friend that got his stainless steel poker taken away, and it's on display at Buddy's Dive Resort of what NOT to bring.

What?! NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo!!!!!!

Jody,

Maybe you can steal a fork from the restaurant!!!!!

So I see there single, double, triple and quad rooms, so are these rooms 1, 2, 3 and 4 bed rooms, or would they two large beds for couples?

Oops, I guess I should have read the accommadations before posting. It looks like two queen size beds per room.

If it was Quad occupancy in 2 rooms that is alright, but not in 1 room.

Thought I'd add a few comments:

Is there a reef for diving available by the resort? Answer yes ( on site )
It's the 18 Palms dive site: Bonaire Diving Information--About Your Diving
Are there other local inexpensive restaurants (Bonaire King, Mc Kleins) near the resort? Answer NO (They use to have a KFC but not near our resort)
KFC moved to a new location north of downtown: Kentucky Fried Chicken They serve beer also. There's also Wattaburger (not the U.S. chain) downtown. And Maiky Snack. I've heard there's a Subway in Les Galleries mall also. None are really walking distance from the Plaza. Other dining options: http://www.infobonaire.com/restaurant.html
What is the primary currency exchange, is the USD accepted? Answer Yes
If USD is not accepted, are there ATM's near by? SEE Question #13
As of several years ago the U.S. Dollar is the official currency on Bonaire. I'm fairly certain there's an M&C ATM at the Plaza. Maduro and Curiel's Bank has at least 4 branches also: Playa (downtown), the airport, Hato (north of town) and in Rincon. Plus at least 4 other ATM's - http://www.mcbbonaire.com/atm/index.php

Info Bonaire - The Bonaire Information Site - The Most Current and Up-To-Date Information - for information on just about anything on/about Bonaire.

Scuba Shore Diving Region: ABC Islands has pictures/descriptions of many of the dive sites - including entry points. At many, there's ironshore at/in the surf line so look for sand channels leading out to the reef. At some sites, divers have made small piles of coral rubble indicating the best entry points.

I had previously made this for someone, even though I marked Plaza Resort to the left, everything to the left of the main entrance (all the red roofs, pool, tennis courts etc.) is also part of the Plaza. Boats aren't shown but they load right off the Toucan dock. For shore diving at 18Palms after boat diving, it was suggested to us to park as close as possible in the SW corner of the parking lot, load gear (the locker room is the last roof to the right at Toucan Dive) and drive out of the resort, go left and park in a small lot just north of the resort - you can see it if you zoom in slightly. There's a chain/gate across the road but it's open to walk in. Toucan stages tanks at 18Palms now afaik.

Is this an every diver invited occasion, also what about divers without an accompanying buddy?

Answer
This event is for ALL ScubaBoard members, their family and friends. Until we reach capacity.

Single diver like all other divers will be placed in groups with divers of similar skill.
Finding a buddy at this event is never a problem.
