H2Andy:
i wear a drysuit in Florida, for about 70-degree water, ...
i am a cold wus, so buying the drysuit has been awesome... much more
comfortable, more fun diving

Wow, I'm diving just a 5mm core warmer at 70F -- you really are a cold wimp :)

yessir...

i was setting off seismic sensors with my chattering teeth... so i figured... hey...

it's drysuit time, baby

I used to prefer the streamlining and general swimmability of a wet suit and would move to a 7mm semi dry as soon as the water was warm enough to eave the tri-lam dry suit at home.

But a year or so ago I borrowed a neoprene wet suit and it offers the best of both worlds - dry suit warmth without the bulk and bother of thick undergarments and with the streamlining and freedom of diving a wet suit (able to stand on your head if you want.) And they cost about a 1/3 as much as a trilam dry suit.
