ja'sus budgy,
what a website! people dont realise what its like in SA. i have been travelling for 3 years now (2 in UK, 7 months in Asia and 5 months in Aus) and everyone i meet has no 'real' idea of the condition my country is in. sure they see a 5 minute report on CNN but the majority of the atrocities never make it in international press. this is a country where murder and rape only get a small column on page 3. i mustnt let my girlfriend see that site cos she is already against going back to live there. i still want to because my family is there but the prospects are dim. if i had the money, i would open a dive shop in sodwana bay and live there. but you still are not safe there, even in the bush. ;-0
just getting myself worked up a tad. enjoy a tennants for me.

Hi Jimmy,
Yes most people can't understand the life we lived. I lived on a plot beside the Vaal river and worked in the mines around Klerksdorp. I stopped working there in 92, the gold price had collapsed and I left in 94. Regards the web site and the news of RSA I can only weep.

I fancy working in the diving industry, When you go back maybe you can still make a living, diving for abalone around Mossel bay, or working a diamond dredge on the Atlantic. Theres still a lot of china on some of the wrecks in the Cape. If you have got the cash you could probably pick up a small trawler from South West. I would run a shop from a boat, easier to move, and take it with you.

Have a look at New Zealand if you get the chance, I hear crazy comments like: the viz is bad today, only 20 metres.
