I've got a condo booked on the east end of GC for 7/21 - 7/28. Does anyone have a recommendation for a dive operator in that vicinity of the island?

Thanks for your help.

what condo?

There's only 2 ops out there, Tortuga Divers at Morritts and Ocean Frontiers which is at Compass Point and picks up divers staying at the Reef.

I personally recommend Ocean Frontiers, great DMs, great service, great sites. They are a very well run dive op.

as a ex Grand Cayman resident for 5 years, i highly recommend Ocean Frontiers

Rob have a great time. I just got back Friday. I split up my dive locations to see which part of the island I liked the best. The first part I dove with Dive Tech and the second part I dove with Ocean Frontiers. I have dove in the West Palm area for a quite awhile and am now a DM. Ocean Frontiers, I can not say enough about them. The minute you walked in, there was professionalism. The best part was their DAN participation. DAN has a representative doing studies at this writing, so please look for a young student named Kristin Logan, and help her out. She will attach a device on you to moniter your profile to download the information for later. The DM and boat operator were top notch. I went on their three tank, and when I first found out that one of the tanks was going to be the Stingray city thing (I was beyond annoyed that I was going to waste my time with a bunch of cruise ship people) the DM was great in explaning what they were going to do, how they were going to do it .... Even on the way back when the winds kicked up some, the professionlism of the driver came through. And if I had to do it over again I would of stayed at Compass Point. That end of island is away from the ships and junk and in my opinion was the most beautiful. If you get a car, on your gas off day check out Rum Point. And again have a great time.

Thanks for all the responses. Sounds like Ocean Frontiers is the way to go. I guess I better get the ball rolling on reservations. Their package pricing isn't too bad...

Stuart, as a DAN instructor, I'll be more than happy to help Kristan out if she's still got her research project going.

Best regards,
Rob

Don't forget to book the Three tank safari, best shot at diving Babylon and Snapper Hole with Stingray city and lunch at Kaibo Yacht club in the middle. It's only offered on Wednesday's and books quick. Also make sure you have dinner at Roland's Garden, (345) 947-7570 ask them at OF for more info about Roland's.
