Not 100% sure what you're asking.

I use wrist-mounted computers and compass, and clip my SPG to my left hip d-ring. I like to be able to see my depth even if my hands are busy.
 
can i ask, wot sort of clip do u use to atach your guages to a d ring and where on the guages do u clip it m8?

Yeah, exactly what the cap'n said. I use a stainless steel bolt snap that looks way too small to work with gloves on (but isn't), and tie it to the high pressure hose just next to the SPG using braided nylon line. The shock cord boots are the best things since spring straps, for pretty much all the same reasons.
 
I use a Cetacea retractor clipped off to a lower left d-ring. #6 on this page: Retractors
