I want to take my dive gear too Cancun, but am concerned about damaging the HP gauge, and Suunto Vyper depth sensor ,in the cargo hold from the altitude.
Is it normal too remove these, and take them inside the plane?? or will the cabin pressurization screw them up?
Just a thought..please put my mind at rest,
Thanks, Peter.

With the current terrorist threat issues involving airlines, you should call the airline and ask if they will allow you to bring them as carry-on. As of today, no carry-on luggage is permitted (temporarily), absolutely no outside beverages or gel materials (will become permanent).

so far the no carry-in thing is only British airlines. US it's no liquids.

Ok, so since no fluid, and there is fluid of some sort in my compass, I guess I have to check that with my knife. At least if I don't give up flying commercial altogether. Maybe I'll finally hit the lotto and can buy me a nice Grumman F/B triphibian(sp?) and set it up with RV style interior and on board mixing station ;) :D :D :D
