Gas Stations and credit cards

Now we are seeing postings on the gas station pumps:

$ 75.00 Max on Visa and Mastercard
$100.00 Max on American Express

So we ditched our Visa, which we have had with the same bank since 1979! And hooked up with AmEx, which at least (except in Calif) allows us to fill our 2500 Silverado.

It is a huge pet-peeve of mine! Bad enough that gasoline has now hovered around $4.00 per gallon, and interest rates in the credit cards are also at all time highs...but they make you genuflect to even get your outrageously priced gas!

We have really become drones to the big Corps! Geesh!!

Amex Blue gives you 5% 'cash back' on Gas purchases. So for my $85 gas purchase, that's $4.25 back.

Not too shabby....
