Hi,

I recently purchased a 7 mm wetsuit with an attached hood. My build is 6' and 200 lbs with a 31" waist and broad shoulders. Based on the best fit I went with XLL. Everything fits fine except the seal around my face. I believe this is caused by having a thin long face. I am thinking of either wearing a beanie or having the hood altered. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming that you are really in the right suit I'd get the hood tailored. Since you mention the contour of face you just fall outside of the model they use. Tailoring the hood may be a DIY project if you don't have local neoprene talent to hire.

I have tried wearing a beanie under my hood for the coldest winter dives. It's cozy but getting one on over the other can be a PITA.

Pete
