Hi: I would like to go to the Galapagos to Darwin and Wolf in Juli and I am wondering if this is the best time to see whalesharks. Thanks.

it usually is, however, i was on the sky dancer this past july and we saw no whalesharks(8 dives at darwin),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

August 12-13, on the Galapagos Aggressor we dove Darwin 8 times, swam with Walesharks on 7 of the dives. There were probably 20+ animals.

Hi,
I went on the Peter Hughes operation in the Galapagos over Labor Day a couple of years ago. We had 9 whale shark encounters. It was one of the best experiences of my life. My best piece of advice is do not go during an El Nino year and possibly the year after or so. I timed our trip for 2 years after an El Nino and it worked for us.
