So there are a few of these threads out there but only covering a specific month -- in the interest of consolidating information for future travelers can someone provide an idea of what water temperatures might be encountered throughout the year in the Galapagos, as well as recommended exposure protection?

cold as heck for me. I had a 7mm with a 5 mill vest. I was uncomfortable. But I dive in the gulf of mexico and other sunny locals. Those who are from cali may think its warm

When did you go?

Time of year is one consideration, but also keep in mind there can be 10-15F difference between sites in the north and sites in the south. If you bring one wetsuit you may end up being ill prepared for either one temp or the other.

I brought a drysuit and a couple different sets of undergarments. I was perfectly comfortable on all dives... as well as panga rides out to the sites and back to the boat.
