0-24 dives and already going to the Galapagos ??? Not to be too harsh, but that elementary level question is a red flag a Galapagos trip is literally 'over your head'......sorry.

Don't overpack. Apart from your dive gear, fit everything else into a medium duffle bag. Depending on the boat you're on, you could get away with one pair of shoes as you will rarely need them onboard. If you're on one that does a land visit, tennis shoes are better than any open shoes as there is usually gravel on paths that will annoy you to no end on walks in open shoes. Soft sided luggage squeezes better into tight spots than hard sided luggage. Take a fleece jacket or sweatshirt as you will be colder than you think. Don't overpack. Do bring any medications you're comfortable with be it tylenol, afrin, anti-nausea medication, tums, seasickness medication, etc. Do take rechargeable batteries. Better to take a netbook if you're a photographer and need a computer for downloads or editing. Again, though it's on the equator, it's not very warm at this time of the year especially when you're diving 4 times a day. Don't bring towels. Plenty onboard. Just don't overpack. :) Hope that helps as a start.

sorry couldn't resist... is your logged dive count on your profile incorrect? from what i've heard it can push advanced divers to the limit ( and by that i don't mean padi adv o/w certified). you will literally be risking your life.

surely questions would be asked when you tried to book it? would they let you go? or is this just a wind up and i've well and truley taken the bait?

Have any of you guys been diving in Galapagos???
I have done quite a few dives there, actually went from open water to dive master and if you choose a reputable dive company you will definitely not be risking your life!!
The live aboard boats that go to Wolf and Darwin require minimum 50 logged dives, but to do day trips from the islands you will be fine.
I did all my stuff through Academy Bay Diving and they were great. They actually specialise in taking people with not much experience.
So have fun!!
If you are going now though, take a jacket, it's cold!!
