All temporal weather patterns affect diving.

The Galapagos are awash in global currents. This isn't like some rock in the Western Caribbean being smacked by circling currents.... These currents are like freight trains in the night. They won't be back anytime soon.

Even one to two degrees change in a current will dramatically alter the type of critters that exist in that specific "chunk" of water as it travels. Currents run far below where you dive, yet they effect what you notice.

We are mere ants on this globe. It all changes beneath us, don't fret as to what you will or won't see in the Galapagos.

Do some math. Why do the Hammerheads (and most Sharks) cruise at depth? Because it's cooler down there!. If LaNina produces surface currents where your insignifigant little homo-sapien butt makes a splash- well, you're more likely to see one then, right? Adjust to the 1.5 degree lower temps.

So much for global warming. Go, have fun- dive.
