🌊 Why Wolf & Darwin Are So Special for Diving
Remote and Pristine
These islands are far from the main Galápagos Islands and are only accessible by liveaboard. This isolation keeps the marine ecosystem incredibly rich and relatively undisturbed.

Pelagic Magnet
The strong currents and upwellings bring cold, nutrient-rich water, attracting massive schools of fish and large oceanic predators.

🦈Shark Central
These are among the best places in the world to see huge schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks, Galápagos sharks, silky sharks, and even whale sharks.

UNESCO World Heritage & Marine Reserve
Part of the Galápagos Marine Reserve, one of the largest and most biologically diverse marine protected areas on the planet.

🐠 Marine Life Sightings in June
June marks the start of the cooler “garúa” season in the Galápagos. Water temperatures drop slightly, visibility improves, and pelagic activity begins to ramp up—making it a great month for experienced divers.

🦈 Sharks
Scalloped hammerhead sharks – start gathering in large schools, especially around Darwin and Wolf
Whale sharks – first sightings of the season, mostly large females (peak is July–November)
Galápagos sharks and silky sharks – frequently encountered
Occasional tiger sharks or blacktips

🐬 Other Big Pelagics
Manta rays – less frequent than in earlier months but still possible
Dolphins – commonly spotted in open water and near the liveaboards

🐢 Marine Turtles
Mostly green sea turtles, cruising by or resting on ledges

🐟 Fish and More
Jacks, tunas, barracudas in schools
Large groupers and snappers
Spectacular reef life like moray eels, parrotfish, and colorful wrasses

🐧 Unique Extras
Galápagos penguins, marine iguanas, and flightless cormorants are more often seen around the central islands
