Next Tuesday will be the first dive taking my Canon G9 down in it's new Ikelite housing. Any tips on a good spot to tape a moisture muncher inside that housing? Do you even use them. Ikelite manual says nothing about it.

I've towed the Ikelite with a G7 in it on hundreds of dives now and never once used a moisture muncher. I also seal the case inside the house with dry cool air conditioned air and dont open it ever until I get home again. Where I live the moisture is very high (pacific island) and this has never been a problem.

I dove mine about 15 times before i had any problems... probably because i was running my woodstove in the winter and lately haven't been... anyway, i had some bad fog prob's a few times abo and have since put a silca pack (from a pair of shoes) in the front part of the housing- but not in the lens port area... just ordered some moisture munchers....

would recomend doing it, can't hurt, not expensive.

Thanks for advise guys. I'll bring the munchers and electrical tape and use it if I have too. Not a bad idea to have it as a plan B. Heading for the airport.
