im ordering the Canon underwater housing :D I have a question though Should i get the weights for it? Is it necessary? And should I get get the silicon stuff? Is there any links to underwater settings for this model?
Thanks,
Brent

I have a G9 and Canon underwater housing. I had the weights from my previous camera (also Canon). It you are not using an external strobe that is negative the weights will make the camera near neutral in the water. This makes it easier to handle.

For manual control of some setting read the manual on the housing and it will tell you how to set them as you can not use the wheel underwater. You can use these function, but it takes two hands as you use a shift button (upper left on the back of the camera).

Best of luck, I have gotten some very nice pictures.

Get close for macro and great shooting.

Mike
