G2 wont pair with transmitter

I just don't log dives
I got a new G2 this weekend but I can't get it to pair with the transmitter. I'm pretty confident it's the G2 and not the transmitter as I was able to borrow another G2 and it paired with the transmitter just fine. Mine just sits there saying "ready to pair" but nothing happens.

Any ideas to try before I take it back to the shop?
