I took my camera diving last night. Got home, soaked the whole setup in warm, fresh water overnight, just like always. This morning when I took the setup out of the rinse tub I noticed the camera was turned on. Hmmm ... it was off when I put it in there. OK ... no problem. I turned it off.
Now it won't turn back on again. At first I thought maybe the battery went dead ... but replacing it with a freshly-charged battery didn't help. I tested the batteries in my other camera and they're both charged just fine.
Anybody ever have one of these just go dead before? Nothing works ... it won't power up.
This is not a flooding problem. The inside of the housing was bone dry, and this camera has never been flooded. It's seen significant use for almost two years now ... but was working fine on the dive last night.
Fortunately, I do have another G10 ... but I would like to get this one working again ...
