That's partly adobe lightroom cleaning things up and partly that we saw them right when we dropped in south of puerto abrigo. Seems like you get more water pushing out from the island around Puerto Abrigo and north causing the visibility takes a dive.
I actually went again today. It was ridiculous. I didn't get many photos since the rays weren't as close but we probably saw ballpark of 20 unique rays, many multiple times. If you were just counting the rays going by without regard to whether they had likely been by before you would have gone through both hands and feet at least twice. Biggest group was 12 according to the divemaster. It was long line, think there 9 in the photo below.
Unfortunately ray photos weren't too good today. Rays weren't as close and conditions changed a lot so it was difficult to keep the camera settings dialed in. Groups of squid were nice on the next dive though. We saw several groups.
