Sharing in case anyone is heading out to Socorro soon. I just returned and the water temps were much cooler than expected - steady 24C at San Benedicto/Socorro and 23 at Roca Partida. My last three trips were during this same time period (late December-early Jan), and I was prepared for the 27-28C I had experienced on those trips. Wish I'd had another layer, though the diving was so amazing that I mostly forgot about the chill. I've never seen so many hammerheads out there!

Can confirm. I just got back from there on Dec. 29th. Air temps on a number of days with highs 21 - 23C made for some chills right after dives getting out of gear.

A semi-dry 5 mm suit with neoprene tech shorts, 3 mm hood and gloves was adequate for the water temps, but by no means toasty, especially after multiple days of 4 dives/day.
