Back in the dark ages when I was in grade school, the scientists needing a grant tried to convince everyone we were going to freeze in 30-50 years. When they realized that we were approaching that point in time but half the world wasn't covered in glaciers yet, and they needed another grant, they decided the world was going to burn up instead. Since we've gotten halfway through that period and nothing has happened, and they needed another grant, they gave it a new name that works no matter what happens. Thus, we are now in the era of "climate change".
Curious what the next iteration will be....

The Scheisters have simply extended the deadline to 100+ years in order to avoid being held to account by any of us in person. By that time we will likely be in the " Idiocracy " era where everyone lacks the intellect for sound reasoning through continual browbeating of environmental and cultural issues in our educational system being prioritized over the 3 Rs.

If it wasn't for EVOLUTION our major concern could have been dodging T - Rex whilst getting to our favourite dive destination instead of temporary/ adjustment glitches in nature.

A friend of mine who once worked with scientists reckoned " scientists, lawyers and politicians will do anything for money" but I can't think of the collective word he used.

We have been terrible to our environment, that is pretty much undeniable. Scope of the terribleness seems to be where a lot of people argue.
I don't really fit into either camp of the extremes. I am not a doom and gloomer nor am I Pollyanna about the current situation.
What I am is someone who is concerned and tries to do what I can to fix the problems as I see them. Exposing more people to the problems and setting a good example is where I can affect change so that's what I try to do.

I'm convinced the Canadian Geese will be there with them.
Absolutely. There here in Nova Scotia then they must follow me to New York every summer because they're there too. Man, the poop.
