Wouldn't work for diving wetsuits since the pressure would compress all the air. Surface suits would be a different thing altogether though, also maybe some drysuit undergarments.

Still cool technology, materials science is fascinating.

Sounds like something that would be really great for dry suits.
I'm still waiting for non compressible gel technology that heats up used for a wetsuit material.
