Sea Horse Swap Meet
Our 24th annual Swap Meet was held Saturday April 9th. This years event was run as a fundraiser for the Edmonds Underwater Park. There was a great turnout this year and a lot of support from the local dive community to contribute to the Park. The Underwater Park is the crown jewel of Puget Sound diving and its operating budget is based solely on donations. Bruce Higgins and his loyal band of Edmonds Park volunteers have built an incredible 27 acre underwater park on a tiny budget. The Swap Meet raised a total of $616 for the Park. This was the proceeds from the vendor fees, the raffle, and the sales of donated gear.
Many Thanks to our raffle sponsors:
Custom Dive Tech donated one of their innovative integrated weight vests,
Lu Jac Charters donated a two tank dive charter.
SeaSoft donated three drysuit hoods
Northwest Dive News donated an Aeris Mask and 3 subscriptions to NWDiveNews
Washington Scuba Alliance donated sweatshirts, t-shirts and a drysuit.
Teal Water Charters donated a two tank dive charter
My compliments to one and all, without your support this annual event would not be possible.
Thanks, JD Rowe, President, Sea Horse Dive Club
