Fellow Members:
My 15 year old daughter Brienne has participated in the Carly’s Crossing fund raising event for Roswell Park’s Children’s Cancer Center over the last few years. The event is an open water swim (1-mile or 1/2 mile) on Lake Erie. Her two years as a swimmer (2014 & 2015, missed the event last year due to family obligations), she managed to be the top fundraiser in the event through many generous contributions.
Well, she is giving it another go for 2017!
This year brings a different challenge. In February, Brienne suffered a torn ACL in a freak accident (hit from behind while stopped on the side of a ski slope). We didn’t know the severity of the injury until the middle of her spring lacrosse season, and once diagnosed, she completed reconstructive surgery weeks before school let out this spring. Everything went well, and the L-O-N-G process of rehabilitation is what her summer is all about. Brienne is a swimmer…. yeah, some of you know that already. Her goal is to be healthy and ready for the Fall Scholastic season, and is using the Carly’s Crossing as her motivation goal!
The incentive from folks backing her in this challenge will benefit both her, and Roswell Park Pediatric Cancer Research Center.
I ask that if you can, please help.

Let’s help both win!
Thanks,
