The best coaches, teachers, instructors intuitively know when to bark, when to joke, how to get the most out of you towards accomplishing/learning a task/concept/etc. The savvy ones even know when (and how) to sprinkle the concept of 'fun' into the process as well. That's why not everyone can do it.
