Diveheart uses full face masks for our adaptive divers with severe disabilities who can not use a traditional scuba mask and regulator. Our Adaptive dive buddies and instructors carry six foot long hoses with quick disconnects and they are trained to attach the hose to the adaptive divers mask in the event of an out of air emergency. This is just one Adaptive training technique that Diveheart has pioneered to make diving available and safer for people with severe disabilities.
