I use an OTS SSB-2010 (diver's radio) and an AGA mask. Between the masks ear/mic assembly and the SSB-2010, I have a "Y" connector that plugs into a wet pluggable connector in the back of the housing. This connector terminates in a mini-jack that plugs into my camera's external mic jack. It records everything I say and that of others that are talking on the comms.
If you're going to use Buddy Phones, you can get a receive only unit that is set up to receive and line in to the mic input in the same way.

I use the OTS AGA with my fire dept, and Love it! The comm is crystal clear.
The "New Mask" being mentioned is the Guardian FFM. It is being designed with softer seals for the recreational market. And it will be available in nifty colors
If you're not in a hurry I'd probably wait for that.
Buy from a local dive shop if possible. Shop around and approach them with the best price, and see if they can match it for you.

Hi Jeff - Yeah, my wife and I were wondering what the "new one" was referring to. Softer seals and nifty colors sounds like a plan to me ;-) We will be diving Hawaii in June, so we have until then.

MNTDIVER - thanks for the video ! I was not able to view it at work, currently home with the Mrs. and we both just enjoyed it. Let us know tht tyhe clarity is there with the masks and I really liked the recording of the voices over the video. But I don't think I have that option on my camera. My Amphibico does not have any wet plugs :-(
