Dove Ft W yesterday afternoon and early this morning. Vis was surprisingly good both days, 10' out in the sand in the rt cove, a little less along the walls. A little less this morning but it was 6:30 AM afterall. Lots of small fish, some small lobster, more blue crabs than I remember seeing in the past and small jellies and urchins. Nice to be in the water. A second dive set up bench was installed and what a great way to set up. Water was cooler than expected, about 64 in the shallows, not what I expected based upon the Newport buoy reports of 69-70 but still very comfortable with a 5 mil. A few cars and divers yesterday and none this morning.

I normally dive a 5 mil. Bringing my hooded vest with me for tomorrow in case I feel the need on dive #2. Thanks for the update.

Sounds like the kit I packed! I actually want to do a weight check on my 5mm before dive #1, and then do a weight check when adding the hooded vest before dive #2. I am anxious to get in the water! Did you see this vid from Stelwagon Banks posted today?
