There is a history to this sport even though you may choose not to acknowledge it. Oh, yeah someday you too will be part of it's history. Most of the safety procedures for current cave/wreck courses were written on the efforts of the divers from that era.

Yes I certified on a single stage/double hose. There were no horsecollar or jacket BC,s basically a snorkeling vest some had CO2 cartridges. The SPG's were add ons that sandwiched between the yoke screw and the tank outlet. Due to the pressure differential created by a single diaphram, buddy breathing was difficult and sometimes dangerous.
