This person is diving in a quarry about an hour from me. They had an end of season underwater contest. The goal was to follow coordinates posted on signs and complete the course in the best time.

One of the first challenges was to drink a can of beer as fast as possible inside this inverted diving bell at 20 meters. (60 ft) Then swim out in the 50° water into the 4-7 foot visibility to find the next posted sign.

IMO, what a bunch of idiots. Maybe this should be in the accidents and near misses forum.
