From Singapore: Aren't you sick of depending on dive centres for yr trips?

If you are earning in SGD, I don't think paying RM150 for 2 dives at Tioman from the dive centers is expensive. In fact, I find it cheap despite being at much lower income group, relatively speaking. Although I only dive at most, once a month, just to watch over my spending.

Dives on certain countries are usually quoted in USD, which may look cheap to some, but quite overbearing for some.

Anyway, based on your post, I think the best way for your group is indeed to hire a liveaboard vessel where you can eat, sleep and dive

why not dive with a few dive centers first and get to know some other divers,basically build rapport
