Thank you Nimoh. Appreciated.

Some advise already and I don't have more to add. I would however like to know what fins you are using? Some are not great for frog/back kicks such as the SP Seawing Novas. Fin choice IMO is an important consideration especially if you desire a stable platform/trim.

Of course: SP JetFins; altered to have springs instead of straps.

Go to a pool and practice breast stroke? Or maybe get with a swim coach for a lesson? Frog kick is just breast stroke without moving your arms.

are you taking the class in a drysuit? I find Jets to be a bit heavy for wetsuit diving, but work well with a drysuit.

Wetsuit.
Class will be in one month.

huh?? Frog kick and break stroke where the legs as a whole are fluttering are different. What am I missing?

the legs portion of the breast stroke is fundamentally similar to a diving frog kick. The big difference from my perspective is that the knees don't dip below your body's midline and the feet are higher up when doing the scuba version.

My error. Thanks for the pointer and video.

I'd say the video is really good at showing the ANKLE position (flexion, rotation) during frog kick. The frog kick taught in GUE Fundamentals has significant differences in knee, hip, and core muscle uses than the swimming frog kick. Be wary of over-preparing. Fundamentals (or Primer) is there to teach you how to do these kicks and it will be broken down and taught in a specific manner in class. Reach out to your instructor on how to prepare for class and follow his or her advice.

I ask my students if they are swimmers, if they are, I generally can predict the issues they will have with the GUE frog kick.
