No, it was in the Nanaimo River at about 13 meters. It was very clear, and it still is. MOst of the rivers here on Vancouver Island seem to be very clear. Certainly not at all what I am used to back at home in Australia!
No...that's a lobster! Look at those claws!

Maybe... we just call them all a yabby where I come from back home. It is sort of the universal colloquial name.
