Dove with Pura Vida this morning. 10am start, two dives off the Breakers, Palm Beach. Air 52F, water 72F (!). Wore a 5mm plus skin, Marino wool top, hood, and a vest. Froze. Slight North current, viz 40’ waves 1’. High point: big Flying Gunard crawling along the coral at 50’. The crew and the Cpt. were great.

72??!!! Wow! It was 78 just a few days ago. Brrrrr.

Was drizzling most of the day south of you, to add with the cold, yikes!
Planning for Thursday, normal air temps thankfully.

I heading out for a Venice Shark Tooth dive this week, water temp is currently just over 60 degrees. Might be a bit cold even in my drysuit.

@Catito
I think Washington state should be your next dive vacation. I think you're acclimatized now. :wink:

Never ceases to amaze me the differences we all have. Just different diving in different parts of the world.. I can't remember the last time I dove anything over 60f?... 72f sounds almost balmy, lol. Still drysuit territory for me.

Not at all knocking it.. I'm just thinking this week I'll have to break through the ice after this cold snap😁. I'll be lucky if it's in the mid 40's.

Cheers.. hope you got warm!!

Report came in today that temps at the christ statue was 68/70
brrrrr

Glad you got out also. I just wished we had a tiny bit of sunshine poke thru, but it was overcast all morning. I hope next week it calms down and can get out cause viz was pretty good.
