One of the videos I have is from an amazing 1950's film with Art & Don Pinder slinging monster fish.
After 30 years, I thought I knew how to sling, but listening to Art, I realized I'd been doing much of it wrong and learned a lot of new things!
You may not be diving in the Bahamas where a Hawaiian sling is in it's glory, but the spearing method is freeshafting and what you can learn from Art can be applied to shooting with freeshaft guns here in Florida, including and especially on the east coast. I have been shooting freeshaft guns on both FL coasts and the FL Keys for many years, even taking pelagic fish.
