For those new to the island: Santa Cruz is between the South side of Barber and Lagun. From Willemstad turn left at the church in Barber. (You could make a stop to see the local Market on the right) Go up and over the hill. At the bottom, take a right. The turn to Santa Cruz will be on your left about a mile down the road. For nondivers (really?), Captain Goodlife rents kayaks. You could kayak to the Blue Room, bring your snorkel gear.
J - since it's a 5 day weekend, there will be a lot of folks from town camping on the beach..... you might want to send someone (very very) early to set up your area.

Yeah, I've been there camping a few times over that weekend, that's why we decided to head there. We really want to do a lot of education while we are there, as well as give away as many samples as we can. I'm sure we'll be able to find a spot to set up somewhere (fingers crossed)! Let's hope its a busy event!

I can't make it to this event. Wish I could. But I do have a question...since spearfishing, even for lionfish, is illegal on Curacao, if I was there how would I be able to participate in this? Are tourists only allowed to eat the lionfish and not participate in the hunt or has some special permission been obtained for the event?
