HI all,
I have some GO Pro footage which was given to me recently. I want to edit the video and put the blue in but I am not subscribed to go pro. Are there any free software out there that can do the same job for free please?

I like DaVinci Resolve but it has a learning curve but I think all editors do. Well worth ilearning it for the ability to do color correction and output 4k video. Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. YouTube has been most helpful.

Shotcut is also good and a bit easier to learn although I prefer DaVinci. It also does 4k output. Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux.

On an Apple platform only, iMovie is comparatively easier to work with but limited to 1080 unless using a M1-M4 Pro or Ultra (very expensive).

Addition: Davinci and Shotcut can produce 10-bit H.265 (HEVC) video files on the Mac platform. iMovie is limited to 8-bit H.264 unless using one of the higher end Ultra or Max Apple Silicon variants.

Correction:
Apple iMovie CAN output 4K, on any M1-M4 variant. The timeline resolution is set by the first clip you put on the timeline.

Just use the GoPro software on an iPad or whatever …
