lof once bubbled...
There is a review of 8 deco softwarte packages in the latest issue of the Advanced Diver Magazine and on their website at
www.advanceddivermagazine.com
Some are free some shareware and some for $$$
All do Nx and Tx deep stops etc.. and are pretty good.

I was reading that article myself the other day. Great article. Great summary of each software package's pros and cons.

For instance, DecoPlanner(beta version) is the fastest for the subject dive plan. But its only drawback is that it cannot be adapted to closed circuit rebreathers.

So, was I planning to get a closed circuit rebreather anytime soon? Nope. Particularly since I already spent about $10K on open circuit technical scuba gear.

Anyway, great article and great magazine.

The GAP software requires you to email them a "hardware fingerprint" of your system?

Regarding free deco software....

How come nobody mentions zplanner except you???
Is it reliable?I think it is but am looking for some peace of mind on the issue.

I am doing 20min @ 65m air dives with this and it seems to be ok .

Vplanner seems fine but I dont have a serial for it. do you have serial for me pls?

I use Vplanner 2.1 It's the older version but it's nagometer goes by in 5 seconds and you can plan dives using up to 100% 02. It works great and is easy to figure out.
I also have a program the has all the scuba claculations in it.
Eveerything from Sac rates to Nitrox mixes with to trimix.
If anyone wants a copy PM me.
