How does the biomap process work? I thought you needed to go the FE specialist shop in London to do it. I have significant issues with fit and sizing. Basically I'm a 6'4 guy to the waist and a 5'10" body from the waist down. No way does off the rack work for me.
I did it at the DEMA show last year. They had the measurement apparatus at their booth. You change into a base layer outfit & get weighed. You then stand on a rotating platform while a laser curtain takes the measurements as you slowly spin. They then take your contact information. Pretty simple. My custom suit fits perfectly, with little extra room.very streamlined. So, contrary to the previous post, it does work.

They do the Biomap 2 different ways. They have a 3D scanning process. I guess that's what tstorm did.

But, they other way is that authorized dealers have some special footplate that I guess you stand on. The dealer has special instructions on how to do it but basically they just take 2 photos of you and email them to FE to work out your custom sizing.

How does the biomap process work?

I had my biomap done at DEMA last year. The process works as previously described - you stand in a disc that spins, and it takes your measurements. I was unaware that they were going to have the biomap machine at the show, and had actually ordered a suit prior to going. There were some issues identified by the folks at 4th element with my measurements my shop had sent them, and they had asked for a couple remeasures. Since I saw the biomap at the show, I ended up getting that done, and they replaced my shops measurements with the ones from the biomap. I will say that based on that, they changed the starting size of the suit. I did not require a full custom suit, but I will say that my suit FITS like a full custom. I am really amazed how perfectly everything came together, and I'm super happy that I did the biomap. If I had gone with the measurements done by my shop, I would have had a lot of extra space in the suit.
