...one to watch out for is Ali G...

My favorite is when he interviews the old school headmaster about being "cained," but one of the funniest shows to come out of the UK recently is Banzai!. I have a feeling that it's not quite as funny if you're sober, but have yet to view it that way :coke:

cheers!

hopefully I will be going to the southern red sea in the next couple of weeks, well thats the plan anyway, this might be my last dive trip for a while, as I/we think my wife is pregnant, so I will make the most of the photographic oportunities!

Thats one thing i find really funny, when Americans always say our humor and Monty Python in the same breath.

I find MP sooo boring and not funny, benny hill was funny, but we have had lots of stuff millions of times better than that.

one to watch out for is Ali G, he was a Jewish guy that went to Cambridge University and dressed up as a black guy in skull caps, shell suits, lots of gold rings and chains.........i used to wet my self laughing every time!

It's okay if you don't diss MP. I'll admit their comedy has it's mediocre moments but some of their stuff is genius. Take the search for the Holy Grail; catapulting cows, mythical warriors in the wood who trade for shrubberies, the coconut shell horse thing, the black knight and none shall pass, need i go on?

Does anyone know where this Ali G is shown in the US?

Does anyone know where this Ali G is shown in the US?

The shows I've seen came from a local file-sharing network, and tapes at a friend's house. There are some short clips available on the internet if you search, but most are probably very low-bandwidth.

There used to be a show called 'The Two Ronnies'. It was on in the late 70's. I think they were Brits. I always thought it was hilarious. Does anyone remember them?

If you want to see two GREAT shows try to get hold of the Fast Show or the League of Gentlemen.

Congrats to the new Dad by the way!

League of Gentleman is brilliant - and what about The Office? Who hasn't worked with a David Brent at some stage:lol:?

cheers

I'll chime in and say that one of my favorite BritComs after Monte Python is 'Allo 'Allo, the show about the French Resistance during World War II.
