The wife and I just booked a condo in the Fort Morgan area (Gulf Shores) for the weekend of Labor Day. We are driving down Friday, August 31st (after work). We'll be there till Monday afternoon the 3rd of September.

if anyone is going to be in that area those dates, I'd like to get two dives in. Maybe the Whiskey Wreck and something else close. or maybe even a day and night dive on the Whiskey Wreck.

Let me know who all is in that area and I'll introduce you to my wife and Tanner too. :)

You ever been to Gulf Shores on Labor Day?

I pitty the person who tried to drive home on Monday. Every condo visitor there leaves at the same time and it's a 2hour long "parking lot" all the way up north of Foley.

My suggestion is either leave early on Monday, stay late, or stay until tuesday.

I'm not sure exactly when we will leave. Either way, we won't be in a rush. If it takes all night, won't be any different than us staying up all night at home with Tanner. :)

My schedule's open. I'm taking over Mat's Shorediving guide service, since he went to the caves.

I'm not above driving there and back on the same day...

Very cool. I think I have one person that might be coming down too. I'll find out in a PM in a few.

Remember, I'm only going to do about two dives. I know the wife won't like me diving the whole time. :) (Or maybe 4 dives in a day, I'm using Nitrox. :p) Nitrox + Red Bull = 4+ dives a day. :p

amazing how having a new baby changes all that....

haha No doubt. I could say that on Spring Break, I only had two days off, she had the whole week so I can dive all I want but, I can't do that. :)

I really don't remember the last time I've seen traffic backed up from north of Foley back down to Gulf Shores. Gulf Shores on a holiday weekend is no more busy than Destin on a typical summer non-holiday weekend.

Shore dives in this area are shallow, Nitrox isn't really needed, at all.

Good, I'll definitely look for ya.

Well, I have no choice... all I have are Nitrox tanks.
