I was twice in Santa Maria and dove with Haliotis. Both times we went to Ambrosio and saw huge amounts of Mobulas. But you are basically hanging on a line to see them pass.
I went once to the Formigas, a lot of huge groupers, barracudas etc but no Sharks.
Beautiful little Island and super dive, but no Sharks.
Both trips were done with Zodiac and took well over an hour and the open Atlantic can be very shaky.
