Former Combat Camera Diver

Just curious, what kind of diver training did you have to do? We had a photographer's mate in my Second Class Diver school but he stopped after the 4 week Scuba phase (1970s).

Mass Communication Specialist must get sent to a lot of secondary schools. Is there a different rating for the intelligence-related imaging on aircraft and drones?

I guess not much has changed! In 2013, I did the same (now 5-week) scuba phase at NDSTC. I was an MC and there are a TON of specialized training opportunities. I think there are intelligence rates that may have the opportunity to do photo training, but I think it's more likely that they'd give an MC the necessary clearance to do that work.
