Probably not. That’s why I placed not only the NIOSH information, but also my own certifications as an industrial hygienist (retired) I would be happy to support any initiative with the VA. The need to go to single hose regulators when the U.S. Navy had not yet approved them for Navy use shows that there was definitely exposure to the skin and respiratory exposure. Also, the wetsuits falling apart conclusively support topical (skin) exposure to tetraethyl lead in aviation gasoline.Is the VA aware of this issue, and if so are past service members with exposure being checked and/or their medical service records being noted for this?
